Hillsdale's all-time leading receiver can still add more records

On Saturday, Hillsdale College senior Andre Holmes eclipsed Ed House as Hillsdale's all-time leading receiver. The senior from the Chicago suburbs now has 2,756 receiving yards but is in reach to capture more titles before the 2010 campaign comes to a close.

Holmes has 195 career receptions and is tied with AJ Kegg's career mark. He has caught 80 balls this season and is within close range of another Kegg record, AJ's single season mark of 85 that was set last year.

Aaron Waldie's 1,139 yard record for receiving yards in a season is 106 yards away for Holmes with one regular season game left and possibly more if the playoff gods shine in Hillsdale's favor.

I wonder why the announcers in the booth don't bother to announce it to crowd when a record is broken?

The radio guys sitting up there know exactly when a record is broken...on the very play.

It would be cool and great recognition for the player to have the fans cheer.

Not sure why it doesn't happen all of the time. I have in the past heard Park Hayes mention those. Sometimes it might just be the flow of the game that prevents it. Yes, it would be nice.
