FLINT, Michigan — Former Grand Blanc football star Kyle Carson has started all nine games this season for the Hillsdale College Chargers, and has made an impact doing so.Carson is among team leaders with 38 tackles — 16 solo — and has 5.5 tackles for loss, which includes a nine-yard quarterback sack against Saginaw Valley State on Oct. 2.
The 6-foot-1, 197-pound senior linebacker added an interception to his defensive resume Oct. 16 against Michigan Tech.
Patrick Ryan, a former Davison Cardinal football and lacrosse standout, has one start on the season for the Chargers.
Linden's Jacob Ackerman and Byron's Jed Thompson also occupy roster spots for Hillsdale, which is ranked fifth in the Super Region 3 poll and 17th nationally.
Hillsdale (7-2) takes on Findlay (1-8) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
