Top 6 teams from each region advance to the playoffs. These are more like seedings as opposed to rankings (to steal a phrase from D2football's Tony Nicolette). This is all based on the team's record versus D2 opponents and a couple of strength of schedule calculations.
IT IS ALL MATH BASED. THERE ARE NO HUMAN BIASES OR JUDGEMENTS. Don't be the uniformed D2 fan that thinks somebody is going to rank teams. It is all math.
There is still a lot of football to be played and many of these teams will be knocking each other up and down the list in upcoming head to head games.
