Kids get in free to Hillsdale - Northwood Game on Saturday

By the Midland Daily News

Northwood's Athletics Department will host a trio of special events this week.

Saturday's home football game against Hillsdale will be Youth Day at Hantz Stadium. All kids aged 17 and under will be admitted to the game free, and as a Halloween special, any kids wearing sports jerseys or costumes will receive candy and be entered into a prize drawing at the Kids' Zone before the game.

The Kids' Zone will feature an inflatable, face painting, tattoos, and a halftime field goal contest. Also on-hand for pregame and halftime entertainment will be Brett Mitchell and the Giant Ghost Band.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves' volleyball team will host 15th-ranked Northern Michigan on Friday at 7 p.m. and Michigan Tech on Saturday at 4 p.m.

On Friday, fans will receive free water bottles while supplies last, and Saturday will be Senior Day. Fans can try to win T-shirts, pizza, or Damon's gift certificates during a volleyball serving contest at intermission of both matches.
