599 and Counting. Hillsdale goes for milestone win at Notre Dame College #d2fb

Hillsdale College has always been an extremely proud football program, even through some of the lean years of the past decade the expectations have always been that Charger football be a contender in the GLIAC conference and relevant on the national scene.

That proud program goes for a milestone win on Saturday afternoon at Notre Dame College. A win will be the 600th in its history as Hillsdale enters the contest with the Falcons at 599-389-46 all-time.

Here is the cool irony surrounding the attempt. Hillsdale's first victory in program history, a 14-12 shellacking came in 1892 against Notre Dame...the more famous one, the one in South Bend...although the Fighting Irish brass (even before Brian Kelly) still refuse to acknowledge it. Number 600 could potentially come against the slightly lesser known Notre Dame College in suburban Cleveland.

Hillsdale will have its hands full though before it can chalk up the win as the Falcons feature the nation's leading rusher in Pedro Powell.
