Hillsdale to face Ashland's version of Joe The Show

Talk about a guy who never seems to graduate! It seems like Joe Horn has been catching passes at Ashland for like 7 seasons now.

Hillsdale will get its final look, barring a playoff rematch, at the Waynesfield, OH speedster this Saturday night in Ashland.

Horn was a second team all-GLIAC selection a year ago and has started his senior campaign at a 25 yard per catch clip, including a record setting 96 yard touchdown in the opener against Bloomsburg.

With the departure of his complimentary receiver Nick Belanco, some around the GLIAC speculated that teams might be able to lock down on Horn a little bit more this year, but Eagle Christian Livingston is keeping everybody honest as he has caught 9 balls for 157 yards. Livingston caught 6 balls for 85 yards and a score against Hillsdale last year and you know the Chargers will be splitting the man power on both of these special receivers.

Speaking of last year, Hillsdale got the big 38-19 road win and kept Horn under wraps for just 23 yards on 3 receptions. That was a big drop off from the 5 catch, 125 yard, 2 touchdown torching Horn put on Hillsdale in the Eagle's 2008 24-17 win in Hillsdale. He caught 4 passes for 44 yards as a freshman against Hillsdale in 2007.

Both teams are looking to exorcise the proverbial "hangover" after losses this past weekend. Hillsdale fell by 3 at Grand Valley and Ashland lost at Indianapolis 17-12.

Game time is 7:00 PM.
