As part of the Grand Valley and Ferris State rivalry week, a Youtube.com contest was held. Fans were asked to make amusing videos and the best one's producer would win $250 in prizes.
A Grand Valley student was the winner with a parody of a Britney Spears fan whining "Leave Britney alone." His "Leave Ferris Alone" was featured at halftime with the Lakers already up 34-0. Ferris fans felt the showing of the video was in poor taste and unsportslike. I tend to agree, especially considering the context of the score and that Ferris players were reportedly coming back onto the field for the second half when it was shown.
So Ferris fans and any other D2 fans, I present this little tribute to Grand Valley coach Chuck Martin for you.
It's all in fun. I guess I should have entered the contest.
I apologize for forgetting to thank Cowboy Eric at GVfootball.com one of the other great D2 fan sites! I "borrowed" the pictures for the galleries.

My bad. I really meant to do that.
Definitely a step down for a class webpage. Unfortunate.
You seem to forget (or ignore) the fact that the contest was advertised at both schools, and part of the prize for the winning video was it would be shown at halftime at Lubbers Stadium. This prize was announced a week in advance. What is GVSU gonna say? "Sorry! You won, but we're not going to show your video like we promised because it's too mean-spirited." GVSU did what they said they were going to do - show the winning video.
I understand the prize. A little foresight could have prevented the untimely showing.
The video played at halftime of the Laker game was hilarious the first time I saw it but it was unfortunate of the timing to play it as the Ferris Players were returning to the field after halftime. Could have been timed much better. Your RMoG Hairgel video is pretty good too.
That's my whole point. Good post.
