Don't Blink...Twenty years later

People like to tell college kids that "These are the best years of your life." I would agree with the caveat "up to this point in your life".

It only gets better if you maximize all of the opportunities for which college prepares you. It goes fast though.

I can't believe it has been 20 years now since I was preparing for my final season of playing football at Hillsdale. Those were some amazing years surrounded by friends, constantly being challenge in the classroom, and finding where I could contribute to a great football program. College seems so magical because your future is right in front of you yet you don't have the day-to-day worries and responsibilities that can bog you down later in life.

One of the greatest lessons I learned while playing for the Chargers involved overcoming adversity by focusing on the big goal, the dream, what really matters. Every setback is an opportunity to grow and get better...even when you're 42.

Enjoy every second. Every phase in life should be "the best years of your life". Have a great year Chargers....all of you.
