Thanks for Nothing, Notre Dame College.

Notre Dame College has left Hillsdale and the rest of the GLIAC high and dry for 2013.

After being accepted into the league as an associate member for football, lacrosse, and wrestling this Spring,  the Falcons jumped ship for the newly formed Mountain East Conference on Monday.

GLIAC schedules are set in place two years at a time therefore Grand Valley, Northwood, Hillsdale, Findlay, Lake Erie, Tiffin, Ohio Dominican, Malone, Walsh, and Ashland all have gaping holes in their 2013 slates. With leagues growing to combat the difficulty and cost of out-of-conference games filling those dates will be tough unless the GLIAC can recruit another member to take Notre Dame's place.

Notre Dame gets welcomed to the GLIAC on Saturday September 8 when it visits the newly renovated Lubbers Stadium to play Grand Valley. Is it unfair of me to hope Karma has a nice cushy seat in one of the newly added field level chair-back seats?

Notre Dame hosts the Chargers on September 22. I hope they make the most of their single visit.
