GLIAC North Race tightens with Ferris win over GVSU

When they shut off the lights tonight at Lubbers Stadium in Allendale, it will cap a day that shows just how tight the battle is...and how competitive the GLIAC North Division is.

Ferris just pulled off a stunner with a 40-24 upset at Grand Valley. They and the Chargers were the two undefeated teams in league play going into this week. With both clubs losing, there is now a 5-way tie atop the division.

Hillsdale, Grand Valley, Michigan Tech, Wayne State, and Saginaw Valley are all 4-1 in conference play. Ferris and Northwood are just a game back with 4-2 league records.
