Andre Holmes' NFL Adventure continues in New England

One week after cleaning out his locker in the Dallas Cowboys' facility, former Hillsdale College standout Andre Holmes is back in the National Football League.

Holmes was signed to the New England Patriots' practice squad earlier this week. This will be his third stop in the League after originally signing as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in April of 2011.

Hillsdale Football picks up Indianapolis, sets Homecoming date

With Notre Dame College leaving the GLIAC after a single season, Hillsdale College has replaced the Falcons with old foe Indianapolis.

The defending Great Lakes Valley Champions come to Hillsdale on September 28 for a 2:30 ballgame the school has tabbed as Homecoming.

It is good to see this matchup back on the schedule after the Greyhounds left the GLIAC as a 20+ year member. The two clubs have played some classics at Muddy Waters Stadium including a 4 overtime victory for the Chargers and then an improbable 2006 Homecoming win that included an amazing effort from DB Jared Kell and a 99 yard fourth quarter drive led by then true freshman and now Charger assistant Brad Otterbein making his first ever collegiate start. Relive it here.
